Clothing Alteration & Repairs

Quality clothes are worth up-keeping. Whether something doesn’t fit quite right anymore, or a favorite vintage piece needs some restoration attention to get back into regular wear, I’m happy to take a look.

I take on a limited number of alterations and repair clients on a case-by-case basis. The work I do best is thoughtful and unhurried, which means I’m selective about what I take on so I can do it correctly and well.

Work I commonly take on:

• Hems (pants, skirts, dresses. tops)

• Straps shorten/lengthen

• Sewing on decorative patches

• Taking in or letting out seams

• Waist adjustments

• Zipper replacement

• Seam and lining repairs

• Patching holes and darning

• Outdoor gear repair

What I’m not the right fit for:

• Rush jobs or tight turnarounds

• Formal wear and bridal

• High-volume or commercial alterations work

What I’ll consider on a case by case basis:

• Vintage restorations & repair

• Small batch work

• Custom sewing projects & pattern drafting
