Local sewing machine rentals

Not everyone collects and fixes sewing machines? Weird.

Since I have limited space in my physical premises and a desire to share resources with my community, I’m offering short term, table-top machine rentals. Ideal for when you just want to tackle one project or costume without the investment of equipment, supplies, and storage space.

Crafting is good for your brain.

My goal is to make sewing more accessible and less intimidating. Whether you're patching a favorite pair of jeans or experimenting with your first cosplay, I’m delighted to support you.

What's included:

  • Simple, reliable tabletop home sewing machines & sergers (upon request)

  • Fresh needle + machine tuned up before your rental

  • 2-3 basic thread colors + bobbins provided

  • Flexible pick-up and drop-off options

  • 1 or 2 week options

  • $35-50 & pay-what-you-can on a case by case basis

Who it’s for:

  • Novices who want to work on their sewing skills without investing in a machine yet

  • Folks visiting the area for a short while

  • Makers who need an extra machine for a burst of projects

  • Anyone in-between who just needs access for a week or two

I’m in the process of rolling this out…

Details on specific rates and availability will be posted here soon. I won’t be trying to price anyone out, but will be trying to cover some of my costs of materials, machine maintenance, and facilitation. (And also did you know you can borrow one from the library? Heckin’ rad.)

In the meantime, if you're interested, drop me a note through the contact form.
